Matthew's first taste of cereal

at four months old:
Here I am. Not really sure what is going on.

Now what do you want me to do?

Okay, I am still not so sure about this.
Over the next few days he began to like his cereal a bit more. He has now added pears and bananas to his diet. Which, I have to say he enjoys much more than rice cereal. It has been two weeks now and he is always excited to eat and does a great job keeping most of the food in his mouth. It is amazing to me how fast he learned!

Matthew is 4 Months!

***Post is a little late, it was really written two weeks ago***

I can't believe how much my baby boy has grown!
Here are the stats : Height 24 1/2 inches (33%) ; Weight 13:15 pounds (29%)

A little bit about Matthew:
He has a very easy going personality. He is always pleasant to play with and will always over load you on smiles. He has been sleeping though the night for a month now, which is extremely nice for mom! He adores his big sister. He is so excited when she decides to play with him, which, is usually a few times a day( at least!).  He has such a sweet gentle spirit about him, it just melts you heart.

Birthday Celebration

We celebrated Chuck's 50th by all getting together and having a good time. We had a small second Thanksgiving Dinner, due to the fact he was snowed in in the mountains over the real holiday. Chucks dad La Var came to town to surprise him!
Mom and I made this semi truck cake. It was some trial and error! In the end I think it turned out pretty good. We decided it was making a left hand turn!

Christmas Tree 2010

I have always loved to put up our Christmas tree the weekend after Thanksgiving. To me it means a whole month to enjoy it's beauty! We had a good time putting up and decorating it this year. Lindsay was excited and looking forward to it, which made it that much better!

Girls Night

A little while ago, I'd say mid-October, we had a girls night. It was a blast. We had a nice steak dinner, followed by some foot bathes and some hand scrubs. Everyone then cleansed with a detoxifying face mask! This picture is definitely a sight to see!
We were also very lucky to have Joe stick around and give everyone foot massages! He was such a good sport! Lindsay wanted her turn, and she loved it. She still puts her feet up to be rubbed every once in a while.

Once there was a snowman...

It is the time of year once again to put on our hats and gloves. This last weekend we had the first snow of the season. It wasn't much, maybe an inch at tops, but it was enough for a little snowman!

Here is Lindsay with this years snowman
And, just for fun, I added last years picture of the first snowman. I can't believe that she has grown so much. It really has gone by so fast!

Lindsay often asks me to take a picture of her and Matthew. She loves him Sooooo much!

Matthew has discovered some of his strength. He starts with this position...

Pumpkin Patch

This year we went to the pumpkin patch at Roca Berry Farm. We all had a great time! It was a beautiful day with lots of playing to be done. Here are some pictures of our fun together. Also, an adorable picture of Matthew watching the Huskers with dad later that same day!

Halloween 2010

Happy Halloween!
We have had a fun few days of games and dress up! We started our celebrating with a playgroup Halloween party. It was very fun and Lindsay loved making all the little crafts. She made a ghost lollipop, cereal necklace, Oreo spider, and a paper plate pumpkin. Thanks to all the moms who made it so fun!
Our next celebration was at the Children's Museum. Lindsay was able to trick or treat around the "stations" and then run and play in her costume. She had a blast! We also enjoyed running into friends and chatting with them.
The next night was the Tri-ward Trunk or Treat, which of course was a great time. Lindsay became well practiced at saying"Trick-or-Treat" and "Thank you". We were able to see some of our friends from others wards and catch-up with them. Matthew also did well with plenty of attention!
On Halloween we kept things simple and enjoyed a nice walk around the neighborhood. Lindsay was very polite and said thank you at every house (except the one she was scared at :( . After we walked our way to great grandma's house, we hopped in the car to visit some friends in another neighborhood as well as to surprise grandma and aunt Katie. Lindsay ended the weekend with a large amount of candy, two apples and a juice box. She fared well and Dad is very excited!

This is our Jack-o-Lantern at Grandma's house after we were all done trick or treating.

All of us at Trunk or Treat.
(This is the best picture out of four, but it is still a pretty silly one!)

We hope everyone had a happy and safe Halloween!
