Little Pink Dress

Having a second girl has been a lot of fun! I can't help but compare them in some of the same clothes. Here is Lindsay wearing her first dress at one week old:
Here is Natalie wearing the same dress at two weeks old:

They do look a little different. But, they still look very much like sisters!

Walking

Matthew loves walking to get Lindsay from school. We spent most of the fall doing such. Before Natalie was born I didn't feel much like walking very far. So he has found it that much more enjoyable since!
Our first walk to get Lindsay from school, with baby Natalie. Everyone loves when we walk home from school. And besides the walking is very good for me too!

Easter Sunday 2014

After waking to baskets full of yummy treats, we didn't have much time to get ready for 9 am church. So, as soon as everyone got home I snapped a quick pic before changing to play clothes for a fun time at Grandpa and Grandma Blomstedts. This was also Natalie's first Sunday to attend Church, even though I only lasted through Sacrament Meeting and Matthews first talk in Primary!

Four Generations

Grandpa and Grandma Seifer came to visit us and meet Natalie. This picture has four generations including Natalie, Joe, his Mom and her parents.

Great Grandma Iona Seifer is also the namesake for Natalie's middle name. Joe has always looked up to his grandparents and we found the name fitting.

Welcome Home

We were welcomed home with open arms and lots of smiles!

I thought it was neat that the kids helped make a sign and had gotten some balloons. It was their very sweet way of throwing a party! It was such a surprise to me because we only gave them 2 hours notice that we were on our way home. Everyone thought I would be there one more day but after the IV came out I didn't see much of a need to stay and decided I could manage oral pain pills at home! Besides it was the perfect 70 degree day to come home because the next day it was snowing!

Everyone taking turns holding baby Natalie!

Aunt Katie also was able to hold Natalie but I don't have a picture of it and Grandma Blomstedt stopped by with aunt Janet that evening and I failed to bring out the camera.

She is here :)

Natalie Iona Blomstedt was born on April 10 at 6 :08 pm.
She weighed 5 pounds 15.6 ounces and 19 inches long.
Arriving in the Nursery.
I was able to take a quick peek at her before she was taken to the nursery to be cleaned up and examined.
30 minutes later I was taken to the hospital room where Joe and Natalie awaited my arrival. My Mom, Grandma and Sister also came up to see us. We had a good time visiting for a while.

I think they were both a little excited to see me coming back to the room! Notice I am being wheeled in through the door.

Close up of  Natalie.
Our hospital stay was fairly short. Everything went well with the C-Section and we were able to come home for lunch on Saturday.
