Time goes by fast

Matthew is now two months old. It doesn't seem like it could be this long since he was born. Time sure does speed up with two little kids!
At his last well check he was 22 3/4 inches long and 10.15 pounds. Recently Matthew has figured out his smile and hasn't stopped since!

Lindsay is adjusting better to being a big sister everyday. She is generally very caring and helpful except for an occasional jealousy problem. It gives me hope that they may enjoy each others company when he is a little bigger.

How do you sleep?

Do you sleep while reading a book? Maybe while playing with toys?
While rearranging the movie cupboard?

Or maybe wrapped in a towel after a long day in the sun?

It always amazes me the way children can sleep anywhere!

Morrill Hall

For the summer Morrill Hall has free admission on Thursday evenings. I wanted to take Lindsay to see if she was interested in the museum and yes, she was very interested.

The majority of the evening consisted of "wow", "eew", "what's that?" and "cool".

Aunt Katie and Lindsay finding little teeth mixed in to sand.

Looking at fish fossils in the floor.
Posing for a picture with mom.
Measuring up to a Dinosaur femur.
We had lots of fun. We also enjoyed seeing the rocks, minerals and huge elephant bones! Thank you for joining us aunt Katie!

Welcome Matthew!

Matthew Edward was born on July 20 just after midnight. He weighed 6 lb. 5 oz. and was 19 3/4 inches long. At his two week weight check he was up to 6 lb 13 oz. He is doing wonderful!

Lindsay loves her little brother. She always wants to be watching over him and seeing what is going on. She enjoys helping hold Matthew and giving him lots of hugs and kisses.
This first picture is of Lindsay getting to meet Matthew for the first time. Matthew sleeping in his bassinet his first day home. Matthew at 1 1/2 weeks old.

Thank you for all of the congrats and well wishes! We appreciate it very much!

Playing a little "Catch up"

Wow. I can’t believe it is already March! We have had a lot going on at our home. The holiday’s seemed to fly by a little too fast, much like they always do!

Joe is continuing to study hard in school. He is also working when he can. He has enjoyed church basketball being around for the last couple of months and will miss it when it is gone.

Lindsay is growing way to fast! She isn’t a baby anymore and is turning into such a big girl. She enjoys helping me with everything that I do. Lately her favorite way to help is by cleaning any surface she can reach with a sponge. Hopefully, she will continue the desire to help! She is now beginning to be more and more vocal. One of her most common phases is “Here ya go”. This is used whenever she hands you something and sometimes when she wants you to hand her something. Her other most common phase is “what is this?” or “what is that?” I thought that I might get tired of hearing these words after a while but she is really good about only needing the answer once and moving on. She has also been working really hard on learning her animals. She finds them fascinating. We are also working with her right now on learning how to share. She has just entered the stage of wanting a toy for no reason other than somebody else has it. Hopefully this is a short stage.

I have been staying busy running after Lindsay, fulfilling my church calling, and just doing the everyday chores. I have been trying to make a couple cute little crafts. So far I have the materials for two, with one started and lots of ideas for more. All in thanks to my friends from church who attend the sewing group! If only I could be more creative on my own!

We are all anticipating the warmer weather, which is not coming fast enough! We are just itching to be able to go on a walk without our winter coats and boots on. We just have to wait for the snow to melt!

Hope everyone is doing well!
