Easter Sunday

So, I never did get a "good" picture, but at least I remembered a picture at all! Sunday morning started off pretty calm. The kids woke up and followed the jelly bean trails to find their baskets. After their excitement wore down we had a nice breakfast as a family(I didn't have any extra meetings at church today and Joe only had one 30 min before church!). Then we talked about the real reason for Easter (again) because Lindsay was still confused on the subject. I think that my the end of the day her understanding was getting better.
Together ready for church.

Sun in the face.

Being silly
After dinner Grandma Blomstedt had a nice Easter egg hunt for the kids out in the yard. They had fun with the hunt. they also loved that it was a surprise and didn't know it was coming!

After church, Dinner and an Egg Hunt the adults settled inside to conversation and a card game while the kids ran around outside on the beautiful day. We had a good time with everyone and it was nice to spend time with Great Grandma Blomstedt as well. And like after every good holiday, life picked back up to speed the next day!

Egg Hunt at Home

After dying eggs, we went outside for an egg hunt! Lindsay loved and knew what to do. We had to help remind Matthew of the purpose of the hunt and then he was on his way.

We love eggs!

This past week we spent Friday morning dying Easter eyes. The kids love it and that makes it so much fun for everyone!
Setting up the table for dying the eggs.

Matthew posing ( I really should have been sitting in a different place than in front of the window, you really can't see Matthews pics very good)

All the colors to choose from...

drying off her first egg.

Trying to make the same face.

Smiling with his first egg.

She really liked this one.

Matthew's favorite part was eating the eggs. He liked to dye them and then crack them just for that purpose.

another blue one. most of his were blue. he really likes it.
So, while looking at these pictures i don't know if you noticed how bad my children's hair cuts are or not. Well, there is a good reason, Thursday afternoon Lindsay took a pair of children's scissors to her and her brother's hair. She took some good chunks out of her bangs and from all over his head. The next day( Saturday) we spent some time with aunt JoLynn. She did a good job fixing what they left for her to fix!

Road Trip Home!

We had to leave Lincoln right after the blessing luncheon. So there wasn't time to stay for dessert. I took a couple of cupcakes to go. Well Matthew had a good time with all the frosting on his!
At some point on the drive home I gave Lindsay the camera to help settle some of her boredom.  I now have lots of pictures of farm animals...

 Semi trucks...
 Blurry selfies....

 more selfies....

and of Lindsay sticking out her tongue! and about a hundred more to chose from!
We made it home safe and life has continued back in to craziness from there!
