Bye Bye Kindergarten: Hello Summer!

Summer break has come. Now that it is here it seems as if the year went by quickly. I am started to decide that the older the kids get, the quicker the year goes by. Lindsay LOVED kindergarten. She loved her teacher. In fact today, the first day of summer break, she told me that she wanted to spend the summer with Mrs. Micheals because it wouldn't be any fun at home. I think maybe I need to step up my game for summer break this year!

I can't believe how much Lindsay has grown since august. It is truly amazing to me! She did a great job learning and following directions this year. We are very proud of her for having all average and above average marks this year. 

One of her favorite things this year was spelling. She was able to pick up the words quickly and still continue practicing them. Last Friday after her last spelling test we went out for Ice cream at Cody park to celebrate her getting a 100% on all of her spelling test this year! (of course, I forgot my camera) We had a nice evening at the park while the weather nice. I asked Lindsay what her most favorite part of kindergarten was and her answer was her teacher. 

It is hard to believe that in august I will have a 1st grader and a Preschooler! Now it is time for the summer to fly by, because I know it will!

Preschool Field Trip Celebration

This last semester Janet, JoLynn, and I did a simple preschool for Isaac, Haven and Matthew. We enjoyed doing it for the kids and I think it helped the kids become better friends. Since the kids did such a great job we decided to celebrate by taking them to the NP Children's Museum. Everyone had a great time and the museum actually had a little more to offer than I thought it would. I took a few picture but the quality is lacking due to forgetting my camera.

The grown-ups had fun helping the kids push their bodies into this toy. Helping them pose for the picture wasn't as much fun, but we got the job done!

Newborn Pictures

Staci shared her amazing talent with us and took pictures of Natalie!

I think these pictures certainly say a thousand words.  Staci had her work cut out for her and was able to get good shots of a very awake baby! Thank you Staci! 

Little Pink Dress

Having a second girl has been a lot of fun! I can't help but compare them in some of the same clothes. Here is Lindsay wearing her first dress at one week old:

They do look a little different. But, they still look very much like sisters!

Walking

Matthew loves walking to get Lindsay from school. We spent most of the fall doing such. Before Natalie was born I didn't feel much like walking very far. So he has found it that much more enjoyable since!
